Nov. 2 We have explored the Provolgi valleys and found nothing interesting. The exploration trip to the Manigati Mountains will start as soon as we get the reenforcements from Lissip. The journey is long and hard. Nov. 7 We established Camp 2 in the Valley of Morti, in the middle of the Manigati Massisse. We were lucky to find a series of valleys than run in a good direction. This is making our journey a bit easier.

Camp 3 was established at what seems the end of the Manigati massisse. The mountain's slopes are more dencending than ascending showing that the massisse is coming to an end. Besides, we are starting to see further, instead of having our view blocked by mountain tops. Tomorrow is time to explore the valley ahead. Nov. 18 Somehow, after we left Camp 3, we lost our directions and ended up returning through another pass. We thought we could go around the mountain ahead but there's no passage. We must return to Camp 3 and start all over again. Nov. 20 After a series of setbacks we finnaly found a way out of this mountain. After returning from the dead end, last wee, we tried a gorge that lead us to another dead end. We decided to return once more to Camp 3 and go downwards instead of babord or tribordwards. We will settle in Camp 3 for a couple of days to prepare the next journey. |
